I am not a girly girl but I felt like a girl the night I wore this dress. It is very comfortable. I wear an insulin pump and with the front piece hanging, you could not see it at all. You can wear flat sandals or dress it up with heels (I don't wear them). You can wear it for a date night or to an evening wedding/function. I highly recommend this dress. It is very fitting through out, but with the piece that hangs in front and back, it covers any worries. I am 5'5 and about 165 lbs and you can't see any of the flab that the good Lord wanted me to have at my age
