Review on ๐Ÿ”ช WENKO Slide Refillable Wrap Dispenser: Convenient Aluminium & Plastic Tin/Foil Cutter in Green by Ashley Levy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Definitely Foil ONLY

I bought 3 of these because I didn't notice the word 'foil' in the product name and didn't pay full price. You cut through the foil, but you have to open the top somehow if you want to be sure the cut is made. I use 2 foil products, a premium Reynolds and a extender from Dollar Tree. I tried parchment paper in a 3rd wenko cutter and it was completely ineffective. I then tried Glad Clingwrap in it, but my roll was too big so I couldn't close the lid. Anyway, it wouldn't do any harm. There is too much gap next to the blade so food that doesn't tear as easily as foil will just fold into the gap and come back intact. Didn't have to press so hard and so suddenly to get it working even on slide, but I'm tired of box bending so I prefer it. They have enough length adjustment to fit almost any reel, but be aware of the depth if you bought a very large reel. The generous length adjustment also means they're a little longer than a regular foil box, allowing you to clutter up your kitchen drawer with different casters. I love the look and the quality so I'm giving away my third Wenko. I also have a Chicwrap brand cling film dispenser that works great, but I was wondering how long the blade would take to cut through the cling film I use a lot. From my research, the special foil version uses the same blade as the clingwrap. I find this Wenko foil dispenser satisfactory. I put the dollar store foil in this green one and the expensive Reynolds foil in the white one. Now that I've overcome my stupidity that I can only use this for foil, I love this product. The cutter withstands frequent use very well. I increased my rating to 5.
