Review on Petmate 29212 Hammer Universal Filter by Jamie Denison

I'm an Arm & Hammer fan and think I'd love this filter if it fits in my cat's trays. I saw the word "universal" and placed my order without measuring first, so it's on me. My advice to others: make sure you have a filter hole in the lid of the dish that fits a filter of this size, as it cannot be cut without breaking the seals and spilling the crystals from the filter. In this house we have two Van Ness Enclosed Extra Large trays. They have a large filter area on the lid that is split in two and this versatile filter is too big to fit in the hole. Cutting requires two filters, but apart from the size, these filters are like bags of small crystals and if you cut them open the crystals will fall out and make a mess. I checked out the VanNess website and it turns out that the recommended filter for VanNess Large and XL litter boxes is the Pureness F6 Zeloite air filter. I'm uploading photos of this Arm & Hammer filter with my tablets so you can see it's no coincidence. I also download photos from the VanNess website showing the recommended filter model (F6) and have now updated my review to show how the correct filter fits into the slots provided.
