The magnet is no joke. It holds Note10+ with no issues. I liked this phone holder because I can't use the suction type at all. I drive a Ford Flex. The dashboard is structured with the navigation/climate controls and all other buttons, knobs and controls occupying the entire central area of the dashboard. There is very little flat surface to work on. But I put it perfectly in a great place. Everything was great for 5 months. The temperature rose and the adhesion could not withstand a room temperature of about 90°F. It came off as soon as I connected my phone. 2 days after buying new double-sided mounts, my phone falls off. The tip of the ball is worn out. It can no longer be tightened. So I can either buy a new one and take the old one off (hopefully undamaged) or glue on the ball and socket. Pooh! Hey, did I mention the magnet system is excellent?
