VOLTAGE PROTECTION FOR CARS! BUILT NOW!

No dangling plugs on stand. My RV has a 30 amp 120 volt panel. I always check voltage and polarity before connecting. What about surges in the park? It took some time to discover this 120 volt Ditek box. Most are rated for 240 volt applications. I installed a Ditek 120HW in a 120 volt panel behind bars in my RV. The instructions call for it to be connected to a dedicated 20 amp circuit breaker. Once installed, I plugged the camper into a GFI outlet in the garage using an adapter, following the instructions. He immediately turned off the GFI in the garage. The residual current circuit breaker detects the error through the overvoltage protection. It is in order. The solution is to turn off the Ditek 120HW 20Amp circuit breaker and leave the other circuit breakers on as needed when connected to the GFI. Traditional RV sockets, 30A 120V and 50A 240V are not GFI protected. The motorhome itself has NEC GFI-protected sockets in the bathroom, kitchen and outside area. I plugged our RV into our home 30 amp 120 volt outlet as well as over eight RV sites and was pleased to find our device protected. It's nice to see the Ditek unit's green LED shining through the grille on the RV's power panel. Hope that helps. May God bless!
