Love having this type of food for my zebra finches; they can no longer sit on the food and soil the food as with normal plates with an open lid. There are several problems that can be easily solved. When assembling the feeder, it is easier to use a thumbscrew and wing nut. I also have a messy problem when I pull out the drawer. I just vacuumed underneath after every cleaning. Overall I like it and it reduces the mess the birds make.
