My 2013 RAM 1500 SLT (V6/Pentastar) didn't come with the filter option so I bought this kit to add it. The included lid fits snugly in the hole. It's not what I would call a high quality product, but it's good enough for the job. The lid will not snap into place without pressing directly on the lid's tabs, although care must be taken not to bend them outwards. Tabs aren't very durable, so don't expect them to last long unless you're the observant and patient type. As for the filter, the dimensions shown in one of the photos in the product information above correctly describe the filter. The problem was that it didn't match my discovery. Of course, if you upgrade your car for this filter, you won't know these dimensions until you cut it. And you probably won't want to cut it until you have a lid for it. The actual aperture width and depth in my 1500 is 8" x 8", so this filter is too big. I'm not sure if this is the seller's fault or if it's something special about my car. Searching for filters compatible with my vehicle gives sizes on the map. I'll probably have to go to an auto shop to find the right filter.
