Bought (2) of these cases to convert some "internal" hard drives to external. They have been working well for over a month now! The metal body is strong and very durable. The hard drive is attached to the case with several screws. The rubber buffer offers additional security and is also solidly built. To access the inside of the case you need to remove the rubber bumper. I was afraid this would stress the rubber and possibly break it, but it's very strong.
