These aren't bad shoes but after trying them on and walking a few steps I knew I would return them. The tongue sticks out too high - it digs into my ankle every time I bend my foot. My guess is that over time the skin will soften and not be a problem, but I didn't want to wait to find out. Also, I didn't want to risk the leather getting wrinkled and worn out. I sent this shoe back and opted for the Ecco shoes instead. I already had a brown leather shoe that I loved so I just bought the black version of the same shoe. It was a little more expensive than the Kenneth Cole shoes but well worth it. These aren't shoes I wear occasionally for special occasions - these are everyday work shoes, so comfort comes first.
