Like some recent G-Shock models, this GA-900-1ACR was more about design than function. It looks good in matte black, which makes the shiny metal screws and small yellow parts stand out. The bezel is shaped like a ten-sided walnut. And along with design features like a yellow-striped bezel of the mode indicator in the form of a "warning sign," the watch evokes industrial chic. So the design is fresh, but the execution is not very good. First, it's hard to see anything other than two hands. Digital displays are pretty much illegible and useless unless there is bright and direct light. Unlike the GA-2000 or GA-2200, this watch only has one LED to illuminate the dial. Even when the light is on, the digital displays are almost invisible. There is no second LED to illuminate the displays. The keys are also very difficult to press due to the surrounding guards. If you are looking for a functional, useful, and more useful watch, there are many other Casio models out there. But I bought it for the looks and it's good enough for me, especially at this price point.
