Review on πŸ’‘ Enhanced Conductive Shielding Tapes, Adhesives, and Sealants for Effective Electrical Grounding by Adam Bates

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The glue is really conductive!

Despite the general accuracy of Revain's product reports, I doubted the adhesive would actually be conductive. I used to use brass foil tape to line up guitar wiring cavities and then solder the various pieces needed to cover the cavity together. I was just a bit skeptical, so I don't want to talk too much about it, but it was great to know that I can save myself the hassle of soldering the extensive tape joints that are always needed to cover those irregular cavities. . When the wiring work was complete, I checked the circuits with my multimeter and found that wherever I touched the foil, the wire was connected through to ground as it should be. I've used it on two tools so far and it makes cavity leveling a lot less of a hassle. It's quick and easy and makes the real work of hooking up pickups, controls and the output jack easier for me to do.

Pros
  • Industrial Adhesives
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
