I recently bought my 5 year old son Target shoes but he can't wear them. In fact, I and his grandparents had a hard time putting them on. When I ordered these shoes I hoped it would be easy enough for him to put them on himself. When they arrived I looked at them and was sure he wouldn't wear them. But appearances can be deceiving! They are actually very easy to get started with. So if anyone is still looking for a shoe that is lightweight for a small child I would recommend these. And on the other hand, they actually look very nice and seem to be well made. I hope that this information can be useful for someone.
