The remote control works as soon as you put the batteries, it was great. The mute button does not work. The volume button works fine, I just can't mute the TV. I pressed the volume button pretty hard and my TV just wouldn't turn off. The rest works fine. I've only had it one day so I'll see how long it lasts.
