I bought this 5lb horizontal syringe because the reviews looked decent and the price was right. I was wrong. The first thing that struck me was how terribly trimmed and rough the threads were on the main body and end caps. I have to be very careful not to mix up these caps. I've had twice. An even bigger problem is that the piston does not fit well against the body of the device, resulting in excessive blow-by. This piston exploded over a pound of flesh. And the last problem is that it's advertised as 5 pounds of meat, and it might hold 4 pounds of meat. My batch didn't quite weigh 5 pounds and I had almost a pound that didn't fit. Please read other bad reviews, save your money and buy a branded device that costs more and works properly.
