Absolutely works! (Check your car first!)

First of all. Go to Remotesremotes.com and enter your car's make, model and year in the search box for programming instructions to ensure you can program the remote yourself BEFORE you buy it. There are detailed instructions for each specific make/model on how to program them yourself. My Ford Escape took less than 20 seconds, but my wife's Hyundai Elantra requires me to take out the alarm panel behind the dash and do a few more things to program it. They work, just check their website first! Okay, I was skeptical about buying them. but at around $8 a keychain, how could I not try them out? They do not come with instructions as each make and model of car requires different steps. However, they provide a link to their website on the map and it is very easy to enter your vehicle information and follow the steps given there. Programming: Every car will be different, but for my Ford Escape all I had to do was cycle my ignition from OFF to ON 8 times in 10 seconds (doesn't jump) and leave it on after the last corner. Then press any button on the key fob. That's all. It's programmed and working. So depending on what car you have, programming may or may not be that easy. I can't say enough. Please check this website for your vehicle before purchasing! Usage: As far as I can tell, it works entirely like a standard keychain. It works well up to a distance of about 30 feet, sometimes not registering clicks, but it never fails within 15 feet. 1 click to unlock the driver's door, 2 for all doors. The lock locks everything. Panic works as it should. Conclusion: Great quality for a very cheap product. Whether you need a spare keychain or just want extra ones, I highly recommend these. I'll update this review once I try to program it for my wife's Elantra as it will be a lot harder than my Escape.
