It took only 2 minutes to program both fobs. You must program BOTH at the same time. The only reason it took a VERY long time (2 minutes) is that if you program just one fob and then program another, your first fob will disconnect. The description does not say that your car should be able to program itself. When it appears, you'll see a small card telling you to take it to a dealer or locksmith if your car isn't autoprogrammed.
