Ideal for filling small nail and screw holes, nicks and dents. The all-in-one feature made it easy to go through the house and quickly fix a dozen or so small areas and then come back to paint the next day. I was able to fill and patch the hole up to half an inch, but anything larger requires additional support. The simplest items were small holes for nails and screws where the latch on the door used to be, and several half-inch-deep holes where someone banged something against the wall. There are no real instructions on the bottle, but that's because it's very easy to use.
