Before ordering, I confirmed that this remote control is compatible with my Vizio TV. Received, put new batteries in desired configuration and nothing. I looked at the remote's IR LED through my phone camera (cameras can detect infrared light) and expected the IR LED to light up when I pressed the buttons. Nothing instead. I even turned the batteries over in every possible configuration to make sure they were installed incorrectly. The remote control is completely dead and doesn't even emit an IR signal. There is no human error here, just junk product. Don't even try to return it at this price. Avoid.
