These are my first dryer balls and I have never used dryer sheets. I've used them about 30 times and love them so much I would buy them again if I had to. I bought them to fluff up the down jackets they had in stock for the winter, which fluffed up great. I've used them on a fluffy blanket that scares me to death when I take it out of the dryer and there was a noticeable reduction in static electricity. There was some noise as well, but not so much that I was afraid to touch the ceiling as usual. I tried adding a few drops of lavender essential oil and found that adding it to every scoop I used was overwhelming. Two drops on two balls, regardless of the size of the charge, seems right to me. I have noticed that towels and pillows now dry more thoroughly. I used to have to add more time after the dryer turned off and I haven't had to since I added the balls. I've also noticed that button-down shirts and sheets wrinkle less. I think they do everything they say!
