We received two iPad minis for Christmas. After thoroughly cleaning the new iPad screen before installing the first one, we got bubbles all over the screen, so we took it off and threw it away. We tried again, thinking maybe it wasn't as clean as we thought, cleaned the screen very carefully and made sure it was dry and the same thing happened. It looks like the screen protector is designed to collect dust (probably static electricity) on the screen protector even when you put it on. I gave up and decided to forget about the protective film. I'm not sure if this happens to everyone or not. We were very, very careful with the application but couldn't fit the screen protector without a lot of bubbles all over the screen.
