These giant zip bags are super easy to use. I bought them specifically for an Alaskan cruise where we were to do some small boat trips. This is a great way to keep a spare shirt and/or towel dry just in case. A full-fledged DSLR with lens also fits in without any problems. I also use them to permanently store things in my Polaris slingshot that I want to keep dry. This vehicle is watertight, however all storage compartments have drainage holes to allow water to enter the various storage compartments. They're also big enough for a 15" laptop to keep it dry when traveling in the rain. I always carry three or four large spare ziplock bags with me in case something needs to stay dry. Locks are also suitable for general operation. Need to put in a whole brisket? They are big enough for that. Would you like to protect a whole cake and store it in the fridge for several days? They are big enough for that. I have found very little these giant bags cannot do. If I don't have a gallon, I'll just take one of these. I will buy more when I run out.
