Review on 🐠 Laifoo 25ft Aquarium Gravel Cleaner and Water Changer Vacuum for Fish Tank by Amanda Thacker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So very convenient.

I recently got back into fish farming and initially enjoyed lugging 5 gallon buckets in and out of the tank. The problem is that it becomes obsolete fairly quickly for a number of reasons. Starting with back problems and ending with the fact that it is difficult to fill the tank accurately. So I decided to think about a longer tubing system so I could just drain and refill it. I thought about it for a long time and finally decided on the Laifoo system. Mainly due to the fact that the hose adapters came in handy when everyone ran out and they ended up fitting my outlet perfectly. It also conveniently fits perfectly in an old five gallon bucket which is great for storage and use. When I put the bucket in the tub and empty it, most of the dirt stays in the bucket and I flush it down the toilet. This greatly facilitates the subsequent cleaning of the bath. It's smaller than my old siphon, which I was a little skeptical about at first, but ended up loving. It drains slower but has damn good suction power, and the smaller size makes it a lot easier to maneuver around plants and decorations. Ultimately I think this will help me keep my tank cleaner than my old siphon. Also, I won't be afraid to carry about 5 gallon buckets of water with me every time I go to clean my tanks. The instructions are clear and concise, but if you're remotely familiar with siphons and quick-disconnect couplers, you probably won't need them. . It's just a very simple and convenient system. The only thing I could add is the built in ball valve to control the flow of water back to the tank. Not because it's too fast or anything, but because you can block the flow of water. from the side of the tank would be handy before having to go to another room to shut off the water at the source. It's not like the flow into the reservoir is very fast, so it's unlikely to overflow in the time it takes you to go to another room to turn off the water. As it stands now I had a second 5 gallon bucket in the tanks. , so when they were full I just pinched the hose and lowered the siphon into the bucket and I went to turn off the water myself. After filling two tanks in this way, the bucket was only half full. In short, with the possible exception of the ball valve, I love this little system and I'm sure my fish will appreciate the extra attention it gives.
