Suitable for light cleaning between regular cleanings (soapy water and mop). It is by no means as good as regular cleaning. Handles dust and loose dirt (and pollen?) well, but not dirt or grease like smoke. I can't imagine it could do anything with bird droppings. Please note that this is a two step process! First you run it with dry pads and it sucks up loose dirt. Then take it off, spray two sprays on each pad and start again. If the window is anything but small, you'll need to spray another spray about every 20 feet in front of each pad. For a 1.80 x 1.80 m window, I applied the spray four times. Also note that several 'competing' brands on Revain appear to be the same robot but with slightly different skins. I bet they are all from the same manufacturer and have the same internals.
