Review on A-Premium Door Lock Actuator Set for Ford F-150 F-250 F-350 Mustang Ranger Lincoln Continental Mercury - Replacement for Driver and Passenger Side - 2-Piece Set by Michael Foster

Fits 1991 F250 XLT Lariat - Updated

No instructions or rivets included. This review is for the 1991 F250: use the door panel removal tool. 30 year old plastic fasteners are very stiff and inflexible. REMOVE the bezel from the power window frame and remove the bezel. You don't have to pull the bottom plate, but it's easy and helps. Then unscrew 1 screw and slide the window guide to the side. At this point I drilled out the F250's flanged door rivet (#8). I didn't have a spare rivet, so I used a 1/4" nut/bolt combo, nut and lockwasher on the outside and ground off the excess bolt when I was done. Should have probably gone with Loctite. (If I had to do it again (I would consider reusing the old bracket so I don't have to fiddle with the fasteners.) Then unplug the electrical connector and remove the actuator with (or without) the old bracket.Reinstall in reverse order. You'll need a Choose from about 5 extensions to adapt the drive to your vehicle. Use the LONGEST for F250. Fixing is done with the coiled spring pin included in the kit. The rest is pretty easy. Update: I downvoted my review because the door lock drive is very is weak, especially in cold weather. Barely presses the latch handle. I may need to swap as well. But it p asst, that's why I gave three stars.
