All that glitters is not gold

When I received this pot I was impressed with its perceived quality. It seemed solid and made of quality material. I've used the pan twice and it has very unusual cooking dynamics. I only used it for oatmeal. I used a small rubber spatula to stir. When the water was boiling I added the oatmeal and lowered the temperature to the minimum (low). For a while, the pan behaves as if it were still on top of a smooth cooking surface. Not a fan of that. They lower the temperature for some reason, and the pan resists their participation. But the main reason I decided to return this pan is pitting. Literally after the first use and after cleaning, two small but noticeable indentations remained on the inner bottom of the pan. After the second time there were a few more. The metal that comes loose and sinks to a bare surface needs to be coated with a material. Unacceptable. I used metal instead of a nonstick pan so I didn't have to worry. I think I'll go back to a higher quality and more expensive nonstick pan.
