Professional roofers recently installed three of these anchors to make the job on my 6/12 roof a little safer. was that the installation was expected to be a bit more complicated than installing a makeshift anchor, but by no means difficult. They actually asked if I would share the part number on these anchors (which I did) as they really liked the design. Overall I like the construction of these anchors in terms of weather protection as there is no point in having a cap fitted where an interference seal relies on water protection. Instead, all seals are components that overlap; The cap is placed on the raised portion of the flashing and the top tile itself covers the flashing guide. In terms of safety and strength I also like this design when compared to tape anchors as this anchor does not depend on nails/screws penetrating the rafters which can loosen/rust/split over time resulting in an unreliable anchor leads, which is not immediately recognizable. a continuous loop of metal around the structural member, and because the entire anchor remains visible for inspection, making it much easier to identify broken/damaged anchors.
