My house was built in the 1940's and my air conditioner still runs through this type of fuse. Two T-20s work great. I rarely have to change them, for example when a big thunderstorm comes up or my child runs back and forth too quickly on the rotary thermostat. I used TL-20 because they were there when I first replaced them, but T-20 is stronger. They last longer and also fire when overvoltage.
