This is the best case design and build I have ever seen. let cool air through. This is a beautiful, functional unit. I especially appreciate the on/off switch so you don't have to unplug the cord. This is NO tool less. Two small screws secure the drive and 4 small screws attach the inside to the outer case. There is a DC power connector, but I didn't need it. When using a 500 GB Samsung 850 evo drive, the USB 3.1 port provided sufficient bus power. Only downside: the cables that come with it are VERY poor quality and may not even connect. I've used a good Belkin CC cable and have had great results.
