Worked great on my 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander. Very easy to program:1. LOCATE the Data Link Connector (DLC) pictured above. It is located under the dashboard/steering column on the driver's side.2. IDENTIFY DLC ports 1 and 4 in the diagram above. Note the metal contacts in connectors 1 and 4.3. INSERT the key into the ignition switch and leave it in the OFF position.4. JUMP ports 1 and 4 with an appropriate jumper. Any metal wire (paper clip) will do. Ensure constant contact between the metal contacts and the jumper wire throughout the process.5. Within ten (10) seconds, PUSH the hazard switch six (6) times. The door locks will operate once, indicating successful entry into programming mode.6. PRESS the LOCK button on the first programmable remote three (3) times within ten (10) seconds. The door locks will work once, indicating a successful programming of this remote control.7. REPEAT step 6 to program additional remotes within one (1) minute.8. REMOVE the jumper connected to the data link port.9. Test all remote controls. Programming complete.
