Programming is difficult but worth it

I got this key fob for my 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor after many years without the original. The programming sequence of using a paper clip and activating the alarm 6 times within 10 seconds is complicated but worth it in the end. I know I would spend a lot of money having a new remote programmed at the dealer. Especially considering how old my Mitsubishi Endeavor is. And unlike the original remote control; Good thing there is no panic button. Those who have had them know what I'm talking about.

Couldn't get it to work

So I couldn't get mine to work on a 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. I followed the instructions and the car responded as it should, but didn't sync to the fob. I stuck a paper clip into ports 1 and 4 of the DLC connector and pressed the alarm 6 times. The locks worked which is a good sign. Then I pressed the lock button on the key fob 3 times and the locks worked again. I removed the paper click but the car didn't respond to the key fob. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if it just…

Works on Mitsubishi Endeavor 2004!

It took me a while to figure out how to program the remote control for my car because I really don't know anything. But I did it! If you have trouble, do the following: 1. Put the keys in the ignition to the OFF position. 2. Lay on the floor on the driver's side and using a small paper clip, insert each end into port 1 and the other end into port 4 of the data link connector. These are little holes you put the ends in and I was wrong about that. And yes, my back hurt because there wasn't much…

Very good and easy to program

Worked great on my 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander. Very easy to program:1. LOCATE the Data Link Connector (DLC) pictured above. It is located under the dashboard/steering column on the driver's side.2. IDENTIFY DLC ports 1 and 4 in the diagram above. Note the metal contacts in connectors 1 and 4.3. INSERT the key into the ignition switch and leave it in the OFF position.4. JUMP ports 1 and 4 with an appropriate jumper. Any metal wire (paper clip) will do. Ensure constant contact between the metal…
