Easy to use. I've never bleached my hair before, but I've had it colored both professionally and at home. My natural color is light brown, but most of my life I dye it dark brown/burgundy/red. I let my hair grow for about a year without coloring. I used Prism Lights bleach about halfway down the rod a few days ago but ran out (during quarantine) and decided to risk an unfamiliar brand. As I have coarse pre-treated hair I use 20 Volume Developer but you can use 20, 30 or 40 with it. I applied this bleach about 4 inches from the roots (preparing for an ombre) and left it on for 45 minutes since I first applied the bleach. I wash my first side that I put bleach on and then the other and let the bleach work on the other side. I rinsed thoroughly and shampooed lightly before using the Ion aftercolor and left it on for 5 minutes. My hair looks healthy and just like that. as expected. Since I have a lot of red in my hair, the color is a soft orange, which is to be expected. I bought a purple shampoo to balance out the reddish orange tones which I will be applying after about 48 hours to give my hair a break. In a few days I will be applying my deep purple to pale lavender color and I expect it to be well received !I definitely recommend using it if you feel very comfortable and have done some research to ensure you are taking all the necessary steps to protect and strengthen your hair during the process.
