Slow acting but helps bring phosphate levels back under control. I have seen levels above 2 on the visual comparison scale. I started using PhosGuard and quickly realized I needed a better way to measure. So I bought an ultra-low ppb reader and used it as soon as my levels dropped below 200 ppb. After about 6 weeks of using two bags per week, levels stabilized at around 60 ppb without massive water changes. Tank 125 liters. reef with 40 gallon sump. Perhaps using three packs might speed things up, but someone once taught me that nothing good happens quickly in a reef aquarium. The whole process helped me adjust my feeding levels to achieve the best balance and control.
