I was just experiencing the usual frustration of changing spark plugs on a modern engine with deep spark plug wells. When removing plugs (in this case there are 16 in 5.7 Hemi) there are no problems, but when installing new ones there is usually not a good choice of tools. The first option is to toss them in place and risk damaging the threads in the aluminum head as the threads hit the steel plug and starting cam, so you can then use a standard head without an insert to tighten the plugs and pull the plugs out easily. Don't plant the nest from a deep well. The second option is to tape a piece of fuel or vacuum tubing to the contact end of the spark plug to help lower the spark plug into the hole more gently, and then try using hose that is too flexible (or a specially made tool). looks like a piece of pipe with a handle) to carefully thread the threads in such a way that the fishing line broke off the contact and made it possible to install a non-pluggable outlet on the spot. Finally, the third option is to use an outlet to install the plugs, and then try to gently and carefully pull the outlet out of the plug without disconnecting it from the extension cord you're using in that deep well, and leaving the outlet in it to force you to try again, sometimes multiple times. It's all extra work, worry and time doing it all in a very limited space (although the 3rd gen Hemi is pretty good at that). I made 8 plugs on the passenger side and threw away the other side for the night. After discussing the frustrations with a friend, he arrived the next morning with one of these BikeMaster plugs. He uses them all the time when working on bikes (where they're not really needed lol). Using a socket with a magnetic insert, I made 8 plugs on the driver's side in about 1/3 of the time. I immediately ordered three sets for myself, one for each shop and one for a camping box. They are so good and so much better than any other socket I have ever used.
