This hair curler is easy to use, heats up quickly and makes it impossible to get burned. The heating rod is in bristles that don't get hot, so you can keep your hair in place without burning yourself. I recently cut my hair short and use it to style and add volume to my hair and it works great. For shorter strands, I just wrap my hair loosely around it and spin the rollers (the pieces aren't long enough to wrap completely). For longer strands, I start at the root so that it touches the hair as I move toward the end, and then twist the hair around it. It heats up enough that I don't have to keep my hair wrapped for very long. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
