Review on PVC SharkBite Fitting UIP4016A 0.75 inch X 0.75 inch CTS, Connector for Copper, PEX, CPVC, HDPE or PE-RT Water Line - Ideal for Potable Water Systems by Joe Murphy

I have only used this Sharkbite fitting. I usually use soldered fittings or PVC. To change the system I had to switch from copper to PVC. It was in a very tight spot and my attempts to sweat while adjusting were unsuccessful. My brother talked me into trying the Sharkbite on. I usually avoid compression fittings and "special" fittings. But I gave in and ordered an adapter for $21. I burned the old fitting, cleaned the pipe and put on the Sharkbite. I slipped into the PVC and checked for looseness. Everything seemed taut like a drum. So I turned on the pump and watched the pressure rise. My system was pressurized and to my delight there wasn't a single drop of leakage. I'm sold!
