What a great invention!

It was too easy to install. Easily connects 1" copper tubing to 1" PVC tubing. I've used it to drain the sink in the laundry room and it's worked great so far without a single drip. No fasteners or glue required.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Some small things

Sharkbite is a godsend!

If you told me about anti-shark fittings 10 years ago, I would say that nothing like it ever existed. It reminds me of Star Trek when they just point that thing at an injury and it heals itself. it's so cool!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Compatibility

Works as intended

I installed it in hidden installation for 2 months with no problems. Installation was insanely easy. Supplied with removal tool for the copper/XLPE side. More expensive than the competition, but the comfort is worth it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Interval

Quick and easy rebuild

No leaks. It was just what I needed to switch from PVC to PEX. Now there is no exposed PVC or copper anywhere in my house to freeze and crack like there was in bad weather. I don't think there is a way to mess up the installation. Very easy.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Good overall but...

Worked great on 1 " copper

I used this fitting to install a wireless Rachio gauge on 1" copper and it couldn't have worked better. Measure twice and cut once for proper fit. No leaks, tight fit and you can rotate the Rachio to access the battery compartment without leaks.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Very easy to use, durable fitting

Ideal for use with Plexiglas tubing - easy to install and withstands constant pressure very well. I like these fittings because you don't need to mess around with copper connections or have special PEX tools to use them. This makes plumbing an easy do-it-yourself job. If you only have a small plumbing fixture (I had a summer kitchen) then these fixtures are for you. I think if you have a lot of these it's worth getting special tools - these fittings are expensive.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Clarity

Using Sharkbite for the first time

I have only used this Sharkbite fitting. I usually use soldered fittings or PVC. To change the system I had to switch from copper to PVC. It was in a very tight spot and my attempts to sweat while adjusting were unsuccessful. My brother talked me into trying the Sharkbite on. I usually avoid compression fittings and "special" fittings. But I gave in and ordered an adapter for $21. I burned the old fitting, cleaned the pipe and put on the Sharkbite. I slipped into the PVC and checked for…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Faulty
