My job requires frequent air travel, which also means a lot of rental cars and trips to unfamiliar areas. I use my phone as a GPS and need to see the screen while driving. I have tried other products to mount my phone and this one wins by far. Here's why: 1. It's very small - easy to pack for air travel2. Of all the cars I have rented, this one fits all. Suitable for vertical and horizontal vents.3. He doesn't move. I had one that was a bit longer and when I use it on vertical vents (like my Rav 4) the weight of the phone caused it to lean left or right in turns and I had to adjust to get the see the screen again. It is not expensive. That's a plus because I've left at least 2 of these in past rentals. Buying more does not cost a tidy sum. FYI - I have a magnet in my silicone phone case and it sticks beautifully to the strong magnet!
