I've been buying Keen Newport H2's for my kids for many years and have always been happy with them. I am new to this Venice H2 model. I ordered these for my 4 year old daughter who is a size 8 and they fit her perfectly. My color is Midnight Navy/Daphne and they are a nice neutral color that goes well with many outfits. The dark color also helps mask the dirt. My daughter has carried them to the creek and beach and hiked in them too - they work very well. They have good support and grip. The sole has good cushioning. The open design allows for good airflow, but the closed tip protects little fingers. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a tab to adjust the elastic like on the Newport H2. My daughter has narrow feet so these Venice H2s are too wide for her and cannot be adjusted. For this reason I prefer the Newport H2 style.
