I read the reviews, loved the look - rushed in and bought. Easy to assemble, strong and good quality. I was impressed. Then - after about a couple of hours of sitting. There was a LOUD noise *craaaackkk*! Sudden lowering of the horizontal plane of the seat being moved forward. The recliner under the chair seemed to have lost its adjustment and abruptly slid back to its standard forward-facing position. Thinking I didn't hook it well enough, I tried again. It just kept happening. I might add that it scared the shit out of me doing it. Haha! It's a really disturbing crack! Looks like the plastic frame itself is broken! It's not, and I can't even get close to the £500 mark. Since I bought the warranty, I've realized that there's no point in living with this "condition" - maybe it's a tilt assembly failure? So I suggested a replacement. I couldn't pick up the UPS right away because I foolishly thought the chair would be phenomenal and throw away the original packaging. So I had to wait for a replacement to come to use this return box. It's a heavy box - about 45 pounds so I had to ask UPS to cover the shipping which I was paid for. Oh yes, right? THAT is the sad sad part of it all. Received a new chair, disassembled the old one which is awkward to remove from the wheel part. Requires a rubber mallet. Packed in a box, put together a new one. Seven hours later today. IP. EXACTLY the same crack as the seat tipped all the way forward from flat. It's not comfortable to sit like this. So disappointed. I really wanted to love this chair, I really did! Looks like I'll have to issue a full refund with no replacement.
