I bought this single handset to replace the dead one that came in the KX-TGE263S 3 piece kit; then I had to order the right batteries (rechargeable) to make it work. it is not. The error message I get is "Press the locator on the base for 5 seconds, turn on the charger". which I have done several times but it will NOT sync to other phones. I don't know if it's incompatible with an existing set or if I have a defective device, but it doesn't help me. in general, and unfortunately I received it on the day of disposal (of the paper), so I threw away the box it came in (but not the instructions). can i return it
