Review on Dorman Solutions 926 157 Steering Ring by Scott Rao

Inexpensive repair of a leaking horsepower pump

Took my 2007 Honda Odyssey for an oil change. The mechanic said the power steering pump was leaking. He charged $550 for a pump replacement (Honda OEM) and $125 for a "flush". When I googled the problem I found these O-rings. The low pressure hose connector is a little tricky to remove. A small open-end wrench for 10 helped. After replacing both O-rings and bleeding the system, the leak stopped. Saved me almost $700! I strongly recommend that you try this first before replacing the pump.

Pros
  • Engine cooling and air conditioning
Cons
  • I have no ill feelings about it, it's fine
