I've been scouring the internet looking for a decent stun collar. I have two dogs and one was on an old pet collar and the other was always on a leash because she was a puppy. My old pet collar had replaceable batteries. (Not a fan - love the collar - hate how many batteries we had to change.) We only have dogs to take them outside or when company comes around they get a little nervous and the collar keeps them in line. very fast. My other Petsafe collar enabled my older dog to walk with dogs because she will attack them on a leash and only whimper and sniff them a bit with a collar on. I like this one a lot more for several reasons. I like that the remote control lights up outside after dark. I like the material of the collar, it looks much cleaner. I LOVE batteries! I love that I can use one remote control for two dogs. AND MY FAVORITE PART. "puppy", I still call her that, gets a lot more freedom and takes to the streets with so much joy. She doesn't hang her head like we put a collar on her. She hears a beep when she turns the collar, sits up, and wags her tail. I still use the leash to cross the street and all that. We'll make it, I didn't realize my eldest would be where she is now because of the pet collar. The puppy can walk a lot more now. She's still learning where to go and what to do with the horn, but after a week she knows she should be on my heels when she hears it. At first she almost ran in the opposite direction. I just use beep or beep. They know that when they hear a short beep, there will be no beep next time. Then I move on to vibration and only once did I have to go beyond level 2. I love the vibration, it's almost pleasant but it's kind of a surprise for her, I did it on myself before putting it on my dog. Shock isn't It's certainly not fun, but in a way it's the gist of it. It is also important to ensure that the collar is properly fitted to the dog. If it's too loose, it won't work properly, but PLEASE make sure it's not tight. It doesn't look like a regular collar. I like to think it should be snug, like a baby in a car seat, the two-finger rule, but a little looser than that. The max my dogs can wear in it is an hour or two, depending on which one kind of walk we do. on the. Usually it's only about 20 minutes twice a day. I'm pretty sure we paid $170 for an old one that ran 100 yards and didn't reload or catch fire. The β¬120 was worth it! 300 yards and I can't wait for the second collar. Maybe I'll update my review afterwards.
