The controller is inconvenient to use.

The collar seems to work fine but the controller sucks. I currently only use the vibration mode, but experienced the shock myself. Is working! I don't like the controller at all. I find the position of the buttons awkward and difficult to activate. The "button" is very flat and difficult to press, so it's not easy to tell if you're in contact with your dog, especially since there's no light. Too bad I didn't have the old version.

In general it works fine!

Product works well. The buttons are in comfortable places for my hand. I also think the security lock is a very nice feature! The dog collar is a bit thick. The transmitter battery lasts a long time, but we noticed that the receiver needs to be charged after 2 days, even with very little use. Given the thickness of the receiver, I was expecting a little more battery life. Static stimulation with this receiver is strong. I tried it on my arm and at level 4 my arm went numb for a few minutes…

Great collar, room for improvement

This product works great. It has a good range and is fairly easy to use. Remember: 1) Although there are 18 levels of impact force, most dogs under 40 pounds can feel it and respond when you reach 5 or 6. I would have preferred to see more detailed/smaller steps from 1 to 10 to fine tune the power. 2) There is a level of vibration. 3) Only two buttons for feedback: Tone and Vibro/Shock - that's one button. It's difficult to quickly switch from vibration feedback to shock because you have to set

Do not buy this new version collar. This is junk!

I am a dog trainer and have been using/training 100 dogs and clients per year on the old version of this collar for over 15 years. The sales rep told me to keep an open mind and try this version. Complete garbage. The handwheel is unusable, your fingers can't find the buttons. Fit the dog collar correctly! Therefore, the collar will not fit a dog that weighs less than 50 pounds. Straps slip from the first minute. the box falls off. (If you can get the straps to work) Thank g---- for Sporthund…

Charging ports fail prematurely

I've had TWO of these training collars. With the first one, the charging plug broke after a year. With the second device, the charging port failed after just a few days. This type of connector is NOT designed to be plugged/unplugged multiple times. It is mainly used on circuit boards where they will remain connected for months/years. I like this type of training collar for its reliability in the field (once charged). It's easy to use and there's little chance of accidentally pressing the wrong…

Stop ineffective yelling and help your dog learn

This trainer works very well. I experimented with different levels of static electricity on my arm to know what I was being injected with. Our Boston Terrier puppy (10 months old) loves to dig and often gets overly excited and rough with our 9 year old Boxer. First I used voice commands with a beep. He has two chances before the static electricity is applied. I found that level 3 or 4 was enough to get his attention. It now only takes more than one beep of intense inappropriate activity to…

I really like this remote, I bought it to teach my dog not to bark all the time on the street. (I want my neighbors to love me :)) It worked great! I plan to use him now to teach him not to jump on people. I have a 50 lb male beagle (not your typical small beagle). The setting it responds to is eight or nine. I didn't have to repeat it but I started with the lowest setting and gradually increased it, it ignores any vibration/static below 8. The audio really grabs its attention which I like and…

Just do it. in collars

I've been scouring the internet looking for a decent stun collar. I have two dogs and one was on an old pet collar and the other was always on a leash because she was a puppy. My old pet collar had replaceable batteries. (Not a fan - love the collar - hate how many batteries we had to change.) We only have dogs to take them outside or when company comes around they get a little nervous and the collar keeps them in line. very fast. My other Petsafe collar enabled my older dog to walk with dogs…

Nice tool, wish this collar had more variety

Really like this collar. I wish it had an audio volume control option and it was a little cheaper for the distance. However, for what I use it for, it works very well. Efficiency: I actually only use the sound option and my dog responds very well to it. I mainly use it as a storage medium. If she barks everywhere I don't want to go all the way to her to stop, but as soon as she hears that beep she stops immediately and returns to the front porch of the house. She "barks angrily," so it's hard…
