I really like this remote, I bought it to teach my dog not to bark all the time on the street. (I want my neighbors to love me :)) It worked great! I plan to use him now to teach him not to jump on people. I have a 50 lb male beagle (not your typical small beagle). The setting it responds to is eight or nine. I didn't have to repeat it but I started with the lowest setting and gradually increased it, it ignores any vibration/static below 8. The audio really grabs its attention which I like and I use this first before the noise. Stimulation. I love that I can control when he goes into shock compared to some collars that click every time the poor dog barks. This allows me to use it for other behaviors as well. Cons: The charge briefly lasts 1-2 days if left on all the time. I think there should be a way to turn it on and off with the remote without having to fiddle with the collar every time. If I've ever tried using static on setting 8 and it didn't respond, the collar was dead and needed to be charged.
