I went down the size small (male, 135lbs, 5ft 7in, athletic build) as I wasn't sure and wanted to be sure as most compression knee pads don't need to be baggy, and i'm glad it fits me snug and snug but not too tight, i'm not worried about it falling off at all. I use them for summer softball as I don't want to wear pants but still slide head first into the bases each week without skinning my knees so the "Bear Complex" logo is on the bottom of the sleeves and not up where will your hips be, no matter what. Also, I think they will work well for what I have planned.
