Lake MI Stand Up Surfboard Paddleboards

Update 8/3/21 Great Customer Service! The first paddle board leaked and they replaced it with no problem. Customer service 5/5. Update 7/14/21 I've used the board once but never checked for air leaks. The second time around, I noticed water bubbles in the top side seam mid-paddle. It was a tiny leak but I never did anything to damage the board. We sailed around the island so I ended up with an air leak. At the end of the trip, he noticeably lost air and became less stable. We were on Lake Michigan, starting from a sandy beach where there was nothing to break. In addition, the air leak occurs in the upper side seam. Even if there are rocks or sticks in the water, that wouldn't explain how the air leak came about in the top seam coming out of the water. I know it comes with a bunch of patches but I don't feel comfortable using the board knowing that it's deflating for no particular reason. It just screams at me that the quality isn't where it should be. I will definitely be returning this board and buying from a different brand. I'm so thankful this happened within the 30 day return period. I contacted the seller to see if I could exchange the board. After three days with no response from the company, I issued a refund through Amazon. ---------- Original Review ---------- 7/13/21 I live on Lake Michigan which is more like an ocean than a small pond/lake. I took it out for the first time last night. I have an outlet in my car so I just used my electric air mattress inflator to fill 90% of the paddleboard and then used the included hand pump to finish inflation. I'd say I probably got it down to 13 or 14 psi. I launched it from a marina protected from big waves and then swam out into rougher water where there were typical sea waves (1-2ft). The board performed very well! My friend was kayaking and we just paddled at a leisurely pace, sometimes stopping and chatting and then paddling on. I found that I was sliding on the water and could row relatively quickly without much effort. I should also mention that I'm currently in the toughest phase I've ever had and I'm out of shape. At 5ft 7in and >200lbs I was impressed that it was so easy to slide through the water. The board moves better than my Perception kayak. I did not use the included paddle as the plastic seems to be strained. where the rod meets the real blade. I say that because the plastic in this area is a whitish tint, not the dark teal exhibited by the rest of the blade. Because of this, I hesitated to use the spatula that came with it. and just chose a kayak paddle instead. I can pack a pump, an air mattress pump, a paddle board, a repair kit, and a few other items in one bag. spacious. I used a towel to dry the board as I rolled it up and this seems like the best way to ensure the board is dry. Overall I like the board and will definitely update if anything changes significantly.
