Review on ๐Ÿ’จ Cooler Master Hyper T2: Compact Dual-Looped CPU Cooler with 95mm Fan and Copper Heat Pipes for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1151 by David Pullen

The processing of the product could be better, but works well.

When I first received it I examined it carefully before installing it. The surface of the cooling plate was ground with a very coarse abrasive. It wasn't smooth at all, my fingernail made a flashing noise and caught on the marks they used to sand down the heat pipes so they were flush with the aluminum heatsink they were embedded in (which weren't flush anyway). I took a sheet of 2000 grit sandpaper, taped it under tension to my glass table and rubbed it against the cold surface of the slab. After that, the heatpipes were flush with the heatsink and the surface became much smoother. I also paired it with a Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 PWM fan instead of the included fan and used the Inovation Cooling Graphite thermal camera. Gasket instead of thermal paste. Set it up as I did, and after trying my best, my AMD FX 6300 never went above 35C when testing Cinebench R23. TLDR: The cooler itself works great but needs to be made better. I'm not sure about the fan as I didn't use one.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Secret
