Came in a box and was fairly easy to assemble, took me 5 minutes max. but I needed the help of my 10 year old daughter. We had about 8 pairs of shoes for a 10 year old girl, perfect for what we need them for. My daughter has 2 cats and one of them loves to slide her shoes off the top and lay there. We've had this for about a month and already have a broom kink. I think it's from the cat lying on it. The strength is good but I can't say the quality of the metal is good because of the bending. A cat lying on it shouldn't cause a temporal dislocation in such a short time. To be honest I've had better shoe racks and I probably wouldn't buy these again unless I had a lady.
