Somehow it's hard to find additional shelving for 18" x 24" Hampton Bay cabinets that only come with three adjustable tall cabinets. Rather than my own too I wanted to buy some closet shelves to fit in. It seems easy enough but it really isn't. I've learned the hard way that you can't just measure the inside dimensions of a closet to find the right shelf, you have to be able to get the shelf and position it the way you want, which may not be possible with the cabinet door. The opening is smaller than the cabinet interior width, and you can't just install a ready assembled shelf with So To to install a shelf that spans almost the entire width, you can either mount it inside the cabinet or use a drop down shelf.Our interior cabinet k is just under 16.5 inches wide and these folding shelves are just about perfect for the whole tiny gap. And I think these folding shelves work better than installing additional full-size 24-inch shelves. We place these shelves at the back of the closet where items are usually out of sight, easily forgotten and difficult to reach. These items are now prominently displayed, while larger items such as cereal boxes and bags can be stored up front. Some storage space is lost, but the overall usability of the entire closet is much better.
