I have sensitive skin and am more of a duvet connoisseur. There is nothing better than a good blanket! I like how it feels. I also like that it's real white. I love the feel of IKEA lyocell/cotton duvets, but they have a yellowish cast and look dull against real white linens. I ordered "light" and actually almost sent it back because it was too warm at the time of purchase (autumn). I slept in a room where I had no control over the thermostat and could reach the temperature 67-72 with 40-60% humidity. I felt too hot with this blanket. I've moved and now my room hovers between 59-64 with 30-40% humidity. This blanket is very cozy, although I often wear another lightweight blanket over it. Love it so much I went back to order a heavier version for the winter here in the North East but unfortunately they have sold out and now I am considering ordering another 'lightweight' version as a backup as I never have want to be without this comforter.
